Launched today, Goalforit! offers free customized tools that record and track progress allowing parents, children and teenagers to collaborate and communicate on grades, chores and overall life goals.

Why it's great?

It's a free resource that helps parents teach their children responsibility while helping them set, manage and achieve their goals. By clearly establishing expectations, parents now have consistency in how they track their child or teen’s progress.

Leveraged by parents of young children (ages 4-12), the Goalforit! Kids’ Goal & Chore Charts is a free easy-to-use Web platform. Parents create custom goals and chores or choose from 30 of the site’s suggestions. With the Kids’ Goal & Chore Charts parents have the option of assigning an earned allowance through the “Moolah” component. Moolah allows children to earn points based on their progress and spend on rewards created by the parent.

"I am the mother of a 10 year old boy who recently needed a little help when it came to responsibility,” said Martha Barba, of Anaheim, California. “I searched online for chore charts and found Goalforit. The Kids’ Goal and Chore Chart was easy to set up with an amazing list of goals and chores to choose from. In addition, my son is motivated by earning "moolah" points for rewards. It’s a fabulous tool that makes my job as a parent a bit easier.”

For teenagers and college students, the site allows parents to create a personal network to stay up-to-date on the goals their teens/college students are pursuing.

“Goalforit! is a great tool for our family. Among other things, it has really helped us to set clear expectations for our son who is away at college regarding study habits, grades and managing his budget,” said Dan Memsa, beta user from Pasadena, CA. “We love the fact that we get updates when he tracks his goal progress and he doesn’t feel nagged. My wife and I love the concept. It’s a fantastic tool for children at any stage.”
