Finally, a site that combines two things I love so very much — traveling and deals! You all know I'm a sucker for a good travel website, and Voyij is the latest and greatest and combines all of the travel deals you see across the web in one convenient spot.
Brought to you by the same guys who launched SideStep (which was later sold to Kayak), Voyij scans hundreds of travel sites to post all of the latest deals, and it lets you customize each search to get exactly what you're looking for. Search by destination, origin, or dates and then choose from cheap flights, hotels or vacation packages for the ultimate affordable getaway!

You think your mom is Super Woman, so why not show her how you feel with an animated card this Mother's Day from Card Funk? Upload a few of your best pics into the photo editor, including those of your mom, dad, and brother or sister, and watch her go! I love how TeamSugar member mharvent made Angelina Jolie into a Super Mom, with Brad, Pax, and Zahara as costars!
The only bummer is, if you're an only child, you're gonna have to pretend on this one — there doesn't seem to be a way to delete characters from the animation. But hey, I'm sure mom won't mind seeing your face on both kid's bodies — it's the thought that counts.
With the recent outbreak of the swine flu virus — which continues to grow in numbers across the US and internationally — many have taken to the Internet to get answers and updates about this public health emergency.
To help you get a local perspective on what is happening on all health fronts in your city, a site called Sick City tracks Twitter (Facebook coming soon) for any mentions of disease in a particular area. This real time disease and illness site tracks info and presents it over time through graphs and maps. To test it out, click on your city to see which health conditions are being reported in your region.

With Twitter I haven't gotten to the point yet where I get offended if people stop following me (Facebook and MySpace, that's a different story). But I'm sure with due time, just like anything else, I'll start wondering if and why people decide I'm "not worth the follow." Yesterday I told you about a Twitter site that will help you save money, and today it's all about a site that will keep you notified when someone stops following you on Twitter. With Qwitter, you'll get an email telling you who stopped following you and when. Scandalous!

The main goal of Spreeder is to teach you to speed-read, but just using the tool is rather entertaining, all learning aside.
Just paste some text into the Spreeder box and press Spreed!, then play and you'll see the text come at you one word at a time. Keep up with it, and you're actually being trained to speed-read.
Look at it mesmerized, and you're becoming more addicted to images of typeface.

Usually, I'm a pretty busy gal, but there are those rare times when I find myself with a weekend free to roam the city. So next time I'm looking for something to do, join, or see, I think I'll check out Upcoming first. Upcoming is powered by Yahoo, and provides a pretty extensive calendar of events in your city of choice. It's free to use, and there's even a place to promote your event on the site. I'm pretty stoked I found this when I did, cause today is a free day at the San Francisco MoMA — totally going to check that out before I head home.
