There seems to be a universal truth about writing - it's a lot easier to pen the more awkward emotions in life than to mutter them. The problem is, this leads to millions of small, scribbled pieces of paper with heart-wrenching notes that invariably end up in the wrong hands. And you can't blame anyone for reading them because the "I shouldn't be reading this, but I am" rush is too precious not to feed. Who hasn't found a piney love letter some 13 year-old scribbled to her matheletes partner, or an emo rant written by a rejected musician?

Found Magazine collects the little oddities in life - love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework, to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, doodles- anything that gives a glimpse into someone else's life - and shares them with its readers.

"Going through the site's find of the day is very addicting," said missyosigirl, who introduced me to the site. "I can't get enough of the notes and pictures that they find because of the unique and interesting stories you can derive from each."

Note: The yellow post-it pictured above was found in the freshman campus gazebo at Duke University. Not on my desk. And the answer is runny nose. Hands down.
